Biographical Sketch

Hildegarde Schlemmer received an A.B. from DePauw University in 1923 and later received an M.A. from Columbia University. She served as a missionary in India and Korea, taught at the University of Kentucky and Willimantic State Teachers' College, and was awarded the title of assistant professor emeritus by Eastern Connecticut State College. Hildegarde Schlemmer died in Greencastle, Indiana on October 2, 1976.
