Biographical Sketch
After the Edifice burned in 1879, it was quickly rebuilt with additions to the east and west sides of the building. The "new" building was called West College and housed a gymnasium, armory, assembly hall, classrooms, library, museum and alumni hall. The building faced east (while the Edifice had originally faced north). West College was razed in 1934 due to unsafe conditions. The Roy O. West Library now stands at the site of the Edifice and West College.
