Biographical Sketch

David Eli Lilienthal was born in Morton, Illinois in 1899. In 1920 he got his A.B. degree from DePauw University and was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1923. David was married to Helen Marian Lamb. From 1946-1950 David was the Chairman of the United States Atomic Energy Commission. From 1955-1962 David was Chairman and chief executive officer of Development and Resources Corporation.
