Historical Sketch
Located in Spencer County, Indiana, Cornerstone UMC in Chrisney, Indiana was created in 2001 by the merger of Chrisney UMC (Chrisney, Indiana) and Newtonville UMC (Newtonville, Indiana). The church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church, closing on July 1, 2023. It is now operating as a nondenominational congregation in the Wesleyan Tradition.
