15 document cases; DC 580-581, 596, 963-973, 3720. The collection is divided into four series. Series I contains the correspondence between Dr. Marlatt and Miss Bates. Series II, the bulk of this collection, is Dr. Marlatt's Poetry and Other Writings. This section consists of nine document cases of Dr. Marlatt's manuscripts and printed matter. The folders are arranged in alphabetical order according to subject. Series III, Correspondence, fills a little more than one document case and consists of letters to and from Dr. Marlatt. Series IV, General Papers, fills three document cases. This section includes Dr. Marlatt's collection of hymns and photographs of hymn writers. The contents are arranged by hymn writers, and again in alphabetical order. General Papers also includes a folder of clippings, Marlatt's biographical material, photographs, information relating to his tenure at Boston University, and several folders pertaining to Marlatt's relatives.
