Biographical Sketch
Irving Frederic Brown was born in Greencastle, Indiana on November 19, 1893. He attended Purdue University but received his bachelor's degree from DePauw University. On June 19, 1920 he married Beatrice Bernice Herron. After serving in World War I, Brown started working for Westinghouse, Church, Kerr and Company in New York.
Brown is the author of Indiana Asbury University, DePauw University: A History published in 1914. The book is an early account of the university written by a student.
