Michael Fredric O'Brien papers
Collection Statement
Michael F. O'Brien, Class of 1966, wrote a biographical sketch of Washington C. DePauw for his senior history honors thesis. Not only did he use the DePauw papers in the archives but he visited the museum in Salem, Indiana and searched newspapers in the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library. He made inquiries of various persons, wherever a "lead" seemed likely. From this research he wrote a 110-page typewritten thesis on the subject. It is to be regretted that no personal papers, such as diaries or family letters, came to light.
Mr. O'Brien presented his papers collected during his research in the archives. Photocopied papers have been purchased from him.
