Historical Sketch
The National Science Foundation Summer Institute was a six-week, yearly program held at DePauw University for upper elementary and junior high school instructors. It was designed to enhance the ability of science and mathematics teachers. The program consisted of one unified course in general science with instruction in botony, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics and zoology.
