The collection includes correspondence between Edna Koss O'Brien and Dr. Cecil B. O'Brien, get well cards and letters of sympathy at the time of Dr.O'Brien's illness and death, family portraits and snapshots, school records and notebooks, physician's license, newspaper clippings, and obituaries.

Biographical Sketch
Dr. Cecil Bauer O'Brien was a 1919 graduate of DePauw University, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta, and went on to Indiana University Medical School. He served several years as chief doctor for DePauw, American Zinc Products Co. and Lone Star Cement Corp. in Greencastle. He held a private practice in Greencastle from 1924 until his death September 7, 1939, six days before his 43rd birthday. He also served two terms as a member of the Greencastle School Board. He was the Greencastle health officer several years.
