Collection Statement
The scrapbooks contain handbills, photographs, and newspaper clippings from DePauw University Little Theater and Duzer Du productions dating from May 1910 to May 1962. Also included are articles and photos of DePauw alumni who are(were) famous in the theater world.
The remainder of the collection contains articles by Ross, clippings, letters, mementos and a poetry review. Most of the document cases are in alphabetical order.

Biographical Sketch
Herold Truslow Ross was born on October 27, 1895 at Rochester, Indiana, son of Omer Tyra and Adelaide Truslow Ross. In 1918 he received his A.B. from DePauw University, his M.A. in 1924 from Columbia University, and his Ph.D. in 1932 from State University of Iowa. He began teaching at DePauw in the fall of 1927. At DePauw through the years he held the following positions: Instructor, Assistant Professor-Public Speaking, Associate Professor-Public Speaking, Professor, Acting Head of Department of Speech, Head of Department of Speech, Emeritus, and Director of Graduate Studies.
