Biographical Sketch
DePauw University Assistant Professor of Physical Education for Men, Freshman Football Coach, and Head Basketball Coach 1949-1951. LSU head basketball coach 1957-1965, and associate coach 1965-1972. McCreary played guard on the Indiana University team that won the 1940 NCAA championship and later was one of the most successful high school basketball coaches in the nation at Vincennes and Muncie. He was later inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach. McCreary passed away in April 1995.
