Mary Helen Remley Loveless scrapbook
Collection Statement
Mary Helen Remley Loveless' scrapbook contains theater, movie and music programs and playbills including one for Ben Hur showing at Greencastle's Von Castle Theater in 1927. It also contains calling cards, party favors and placecards, club meeting programs, ephemera and pressed flowers. The scrapbook contains many photographs of family and friends as well as views of DePauw University and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Many items were loose from the pages of the scrapbook, so these were placed in separate folders and envelopes.

Biographical Sketch
Mary Helen Remley Loveless was born in 1908 to Harry and Alice Remley of Montgomery County, Indiana; she also had a brother, Walter Remley. Mary Helen Remley graduated from Waynetown High School in 1926 and attended DePauw University in 1926-1927, her freshman year. She later attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music receiving a Bachelor of Science in Public School Music in June 1931. She taught music at Waynetown High School and other Montgomery County schools. She married David Loveless and the couple lived in Montgomery County according to the 1940 Census.
