Biographical Note

Hayden Hayes Allen was the 5th son of Benjamin Ambrose and Elizabeth Eaton Allen. He was born December 8,1860 near New Lebanon, Indiana. He was a farmer until he yielded to the call to preach the gospel. He entered the Indiana Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church and was assigned a charge in 1887. Before his retirement in 1932 he had served several Indiana charges. He was an official of the Conference Board of Stewards of his conference for 30 years. He died in January of 1935.
