Historical Note

The DePauw Social Museum occupied three connecting rooms in the basement of East College. It housed graphic exhibits intended to interest and inform students on modern social problems and on some of the results of current social science researchers. The University's collections in archaeology and ethnology were also exhibited there, and a number of loan collections were displayed from time to time. The rooms were also used as a sociology laboratory.
