Collection Statement
The collection consists of one red, felt-covered, hand-made album titled, A Child's Garden of Shakespeare. It consists of a preface, table of contents, biographical sketch of William Shakespeare, an introduction to the plays, a summary of the Merchant of Venice, Richard III, Romeo and Juliet and the sonnets. Also included is a short hand-written essay on Shakespeare and children's literature (graded) and a longer typewritten essay on children's literature.

Biographical Sketch
Avis Crowe, of Wilmette, Illinois, class of 1960, was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and Wesley Players, a theater group associated with the Methodist Student Felowship. She later performed in the "Horn in the West" outdoor drama, Boone, North Carolina in 1975.
