Collection Statement
On August 24, 2014 the Helenor M. Davisson Cluster of United Methodist Historic Sites was dedicated in Jasper County, Indiana, the marker placed at her Sandridge Cemetery gravesite. Maps, emails, and other literature about the dedication, as well as tributes and biographical materials are included in this collection.

Biographical Sketch
Helenor M. Alter Davisson was born January 24, 1823 in Pennsylvania and died October 9, 1876 in Jasper County, Indiana. On August 24, 1866, she was the first woman ordained a deacon in any denomination now part of the United Methodist Church.
