Collection Statement
This collection mainly consists of given lectures and information on Walter Bundy in chronological order. Also included are original typed manuscripts of Syllabus and Synopsis of the First Three Gospels and student papers written at Boston University. Six of his books are also included in this collection.

Biographical Sketch
Dr. Walter Ernest Bundy, a 1912 graduate of DePauw, held the bachelor of sacred theology and Ph.D. degrees from Boston University. Noted as a leading scholar in the field of Biblical interpretation, he authored seven widely-used college texts. He joined the DePauw staff in 1919 after serving during World War I as American vice-consul in Basel, Switzerland. He became head of the Bible department here and held the Beiger Professorship of English Bible at the time of his retirement. Dr. Bundy, who retired after 36 years on the DePauw faculty, passed away October 23, 1961, in Greencastle at age 72.
