Biographical Note
William and Ruth Collier married to become missionaries, had two children in India, and came back for a leave in the USA just in time to be caught by the loss of funds that accompanied the Depression. Instead of India, which they loved, they ministered to the congregations of small Indiana and Ohio congregations. They retained contacts with Indian church members until their deaths, including hospitality for Indian pastors visiting the U.S. Mrs. Collier's sister spent much of her life as a missionary in and about Shanghai, until forced to leave by Japanese.
