Biographical Note
Rinaldo Rinaldina Ruter was born May 21, 1829 in Lexington, Indiana, the son of Rev. Calvin W. Ruter and Harriet Ruter. He graduated from Indiana Central Medical College, operated by Indiana Asbury University, in 1852 with an M.D. degree. During the Civil War he was a Captain and member of the Union Army, 18th Regiment, Indiana Volunteer Infantry, Company D. He died February 5, 1884 at 10:00 pm and buried on February 6, 1884 at Patriot, Indiana.
