Biographical Note

Rev. Robert Cummings Ellsworth was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 20, 1887 to Oliver Morris and Ida May Ellsworth. He graduated from Steele High School, entered Wesleyan University, spent tow years at Wittenberg College, Springfield, and then graduated from Boston University and Boston University School of Theology. In June, 1910, he married Miss Laura Mclelland, of West Carrollton, Ohio. Three years after her death he married Miss Mable Sharp, of Springfield, Ohio. He had six children. Among his appointments were Grace Church, South Bend and Rockville, Indiana. He died in Indianapolis on June 3, 1939.
