Biographical Note
Born 12/22/1843, Williamson Terrell Erwin was admitted to the Indiana Conference in September 1865. His first assignment was for 6 months with Stanton Circuit. Many other appointments followed. In 1871, he became associate editor of the Evansville Journal, until failing health forced him to retire within a few months. In 1872, he again connected himself with the Indiana Conference and was appointed to Mooresville Station, but failing health again caused him to resign after 6 months. During the summer of 1873, he made a trip to Europe, hoping to regain his health, but without permanent results. In June 1874, he moved to New Harmony, where he died on Nov. 20, 1874.
