Biographical / Historical
Katherine "Kit" Newkirk opened a store in Greencastle in 2014 called "Indonesian Imports" before being elected as the exectutive director of the Putnam County Museum in 2015. Kit had previously worked with thw Putnam County Museum, but moved away in 2008, but upon her return, the Museum staff was thrilled to see her apply for the postion, and she was unanimously voted into the position.
