Biographical Sketch
Donald U. Bridge was a 1917 graduate of DePauw University. He became a prominent newspaper executive, working for such papers as the Indianapolis News, the New York Times, and the Gannett newspapers. He was elected to offices of the Newspapers Advertising Executives Association and was appointed to the board of directors of the Gannett Corporation. Mr. Bridge was a member of Sigma Delta Chi, the national journalism society. He married Icy Frost, also a 1917 DePauw graduate. They had one son, John, who is a 1942 graduate of DePauw. Mr. Bridge passed away in 1984.
