The collection consists primarily of photographs of Louise Confer, her parents, husband and sons, and other family members. It also contains family history material, a Greencastle High School commencement program and invitation, and Louise Confer’s high school valedictory speech.

Biographical Sketch
Louise Kiefer Confer was born Nov. 7, 1886 and lived in Greencastle, Indiana. She was graduated from Greencastle High School in 1905, where she was valedictorian. She married Carl Vincent Confer June 30, 1912; and they had two sons, Carl Vincent Confer, Jr., also a DePauw University graduate (1934) and Warren K. Confer. Louise Confer was a teacher in Rensselaer, Indiana from 1909-1911 and a homemaker. She died Feb. 20, 1961 in Berkeley, California.
