This collection consists of many pieces of sheet music by Marjorie Gaston. The music was composed for her classes at DePauw, the students she later taught, and for her own private life. The collection also contains material for student programs, clippings, diaries, and other data.

Biographical Sketch
Marjorie Gaston (DePauw Class of 1930), was born May 4, 1906. Miss Gaston, a former teacher of music in the Indianapolis Public Schools, had received recognition as a composer of songs and a piano concerto and was the holder of a Freedoms Foundation medal for composing music for the Pledge of Allegiance. She was a member of Delta Zeta and numerous professional and honorary music organizations and had earned master’s degrees from DePauw University and Central Normal College. Marjorie Gaston died April 14, 1974.
