Historical Sketch
The Indiana Commission of United Ministries in Higher Education (ICUMHE) began in 1968 in response to the need for coordination between the various campus ministries in operation on Indiana college campuses. Several Christian denominations were involved including the United Methodist Church. Coordination of efforts, it was thought, would make better use of the limited and shrinking resources available for campus ministries.
