Historical Note
In 1831, Rev. John Lopp was assigned the first minister at the church's founding. Fire destroyed the original church around 1882, and the present church was built in 1883. The church was remodled in 1910. Sunday School classrooms were added to the church in 1959, 1960, 1971, and 1972. The church celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1983 with a day-long service. In January 2023, a meeting for members was held regarding the church's possible disaffiliation. All 12 present members voted to disaffiliate, and in March 2023, the church officially disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church.
