This collection contains lecture notes and essays on many different countries. It also includes large bound volumes of letters of "Tribute to a Great Teacher presented by YWCA, DePauw University, April 26, 1945." Also included in this collection is a chronology on Lisgar Eckardt.

Biographical Sketch
Dr. Eckardt was born at Unionville, Ontario, Canada, on October 22, 1876. He received his undergraduate from Toronto University in 1902 and later attended Boston University receiving his master's degree there in 1907. Before joining the DePauw staff Dr. Eckardt taught at Syracuse University from 1910 to 1911 and at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado from 1911 to 1913. He began his long time association with DePauw in 1913 when Professor William G. Seaman resigned the professorship of philosophy to become president of Dakota Wesleyan University. Under Dr. Eckardt's guidance the study of philosophy became one of the most popular subjects on the campus. Dr. Eckardt also served as dean of freshmen from 1914 to 1926. Lisgar Eckardt died July 12, 1946 in Camden, New York at the age of 70 years. Chronology: 1876 Born October 22, Unionville, Ont., Canada 1902 A. B.
