Historical Sketch
Liberty Methodist church was built on the farm of Abbott Robinson, on Section 11, Marion township. The building remained until the congregation erected a frame building in 1871 on a lot given for that purpose by Morris Oliver. Liberty cemetery was established adjacent to the church and still exists, but the church closed about 1912.
