Biographical Sketch

Robert Grant Johnson entered Wabash College in 1882. The following fall he entered DePauw University where he graduated in 1888. He won many honors while in college and in 1888 took the prize at the state oratorical contest. In the same spring he won the interstate contest.

After concluding his college work he went to Chicago where he was a writer for Interocean and then became a lawyer. Johnson died at the age of 26 from typhoid fever at the home of his parents - one mile north of Mace, Indiana.
