Biographical Sketch
Jesse Meharry was a farmer in Tippecanoe County and philanthopist who provided help in the form of a contribution of $10,000 toward construction of East College. (Meharry had once proposed that the university be moved to a location on his Tippecanoe County farm.) Meharry Hall in East College is named for Jesse's wife, Jane Meharry.
