Historical Sketch
All Methodists in New Albany worshiped at Wesley Chapel Church until 1839 when Centenary was built. At that time it was the best public edifice in the city. In 1850, it was remodeled and again in 1928 changes were made to the building. In 1900 and 1937 natural disasters damaged the building. An educational annex was added in 1953.
