Biographical Note
Horatio Nelson Ogden was born at Battle Ground, IN on Aug. 20, 1848, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Ogden. In 1871 he was received in to the Northwest IN Conference. He married Julia Hull in 1872. In 1891 he was appointed Presiding Elder for the South Bend District; from 1901-06 he was a Field Agent for the Methodist Book Concern; in 1912, after 43 years of service he was retired. He died on June 18, 1938 at the age of 90.
