Historical Note

Forest Park United Methodist Church was founded in 1923 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. This church was named Lakeside Methodist Episcopal Church until 1925, when it changed its name to Forest Park Methodist Episcopal Church. Reverend H.A. Clugston served as first minister until 1926. The first church building was completed in late 1923, and a new building was dedicated in 1936. The church closed on June 30, 2018.
