Historical Note
Webster United Methodist Church was organized on Valentine’s Day in 1865. At the time, the name of the town was Dover. Later the town and the church’s name were changed to Webster. A basement was dug under the church in 1930 and the sanctuary enlarged. An addition was added in 1968.
For a time, Webster shared a pastor with Chester Heights United Methodist Church and together the two parishes shared the publication of a joint newsletter, "The Cross and Flame".
