Biographical Note
Rev. Warren Wiant left Ohio and entered the North Indiana Conference in 1908. He later moved on to Lagro (1910-1912), Fortville (1913-1916), New Castle (1916-1921), Mishawaka (1921-1924), and Fort Wayne (1924-1928).
Wiant served as statistician for the North Indiana Conference in 1913 and 1914, and his congregation from his years at New Castle described him as "an ardent, eloquent, energetic, and conscientious minister, in the prime of his manhood and ambition". By the time he left New Castle, his congregation had increased by 400, and the church was in "excellent spiritual and financial condition."
On October 15, 1928, Wiant transferred to the Indiana Conference and was pastor at 3048 Pennsylvania in Indianapolis from 1928-1934. He left Indiana for Pittsburgh, PA in December 1934.
