Historical Sketch
The Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist Church was an outgrowth of the Woman's Home Missionary Society and the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society. The Wesleyan Service Guild was an auxiliary of the WSCS, founded in 1921 for women employed outside the home.
