Biographical Sketch

Oliver W. Robinson, son of Oliver P. and Grace Dunn Robinson, was born on December 14, 1911 in Ogdensburg, New York. He received an A.B. degree from DePauw University in 1933 and an M.A. from the University of Chicago in 1939. In 1934 he became an associate instructor of English at Vincennes University and had risen to the position of Academic Dean, when in 1947 he resigned from Vincennes to teach at DePauw. As an associate professor of English, he taught writing at DePauw until his retirement in 1964. Oliver Robinson died on September 28, 1972.
