Historical Note
Liberty Center United Methodist Church was founded in 1822 by Revered Boswell, alongside twenty nine charter members, in Liberty Center, Wells Co., Ind. Later that year, in October, the church purchased its first parsonage. In 1909, the church built a new building. This building would later burn down in 1941. It was replaced within a year. A formal dedication and mortgage burning took place on November 13, 1943. The church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2022.
