These records are deposited in the Archives of DePauw University with the understanding that they are to be kept safely and are subject to removal, in part or whole, by Mrs. Royse until their final disposal. They are also subject to removal by her son and daughter. This collection contains many letters to and from Mintie Royse. There is also a Genealogy of Benjamin Crocker and one for Mintie along with her Business card-dress maker.

Biographical Sketch
Mintie Alice Allen was born in Greencastle, Indiana on December 15, 1872, daughter of Jerome and Emma Bennet Allen and the eldest of four children. She was educated in her fathers library, in the Greencastle public schools and DePauw University being graduated in the class of 1894. A year of leisure was followed by three years of teaching in the public schools of Anderson, a year in the English Department of the High School of Paris, Illinois and two years in teaching a required course in English composition in the English Department of DePauw University.
