Biographical Sketch

Dr. Charles Harrison Smith was a graduate of Tipton High School. In 1902, he was graduated from DePauw University and from Drew Theological Seminary in 1906. He also had graduate schooling at Harvard University, University of Michigan and Princeton University. He received his Honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity from DePauw University in 1921. At the time of his death Dr. Smith was Pastor Emeritus of First Methodist church, Fort Wayne, where he retired after serving the church for 16 years. Other charges held were at Roann, Markle, Greenfield, Peru and Bluffton.
