Historical Sketch
Medora United Methodist Church was organized in 1851. In 1855 they entered into a union church agreement in which they held one-fourth interest. The sold the one-fourth interest in 1869 and bought it back again in 1878. The church had times of discouragement but it gained strength in 1886-87. In 1940 the church was improved at a cost of $450. In 1948 the parsonage was improved including a bathroom and two years later completely modernized at a cost of $1,200. The church was made a station in 1951. In 1952 they purchased full interest in a parsonage. In 1955 an educational unit was added costing $10,000 and in 1967 approval was given to tear down the sactuary and to replace it. The membership in 1968 was 60.
