Historical Sketch

Founded in 1818; first minister was Rev. Samuel West. Mooresville College was formed here in 1858. The main building was razed and the college was moved, eventually becoming the University of Evansville.

Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Due to declining membership, the church closed in 2020 and is now run by Abundant Grace Bible Fellowship, a local non-denominational ministry.
