Biographical Sketch

Edna Hayes Taylor entered the teaching profession shortly after graduating from Denison University in 1913. She came to the DePauw English faculty in 1918 and stayed four years before leaving to marry James W. Taylor, who preceded her in death. She rejoined the faculty in 1935, earned the M.A. at Ohio State, and then remained in the English department at DePauw until retirement with the rank of emeritus professor in 1956.
