Historical Note
Richville United Methodist Church was founded in 1836. The first minister was Rev. Jacob Colclazer. Although the church has a Ligonier, Indiana address it is actually located in Elkhart County, Indiana. The church was previously known as Colcazer Chapel. The first church building was erected in 1881, and the current building was erected in 1978. The church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church, closing July 1, 2023.
