Biographical Sketch

Gerald T. White received a B.A. from DePauw University in 1934; M.S. in 1935 Univ. of California; Ph.D. 1938, Berkeley; post-doctoral fellow, Harvard Graduate School of Business AD., 1951-52; president, Pacific Coast Branch, American Historical Assoc., 1969; Treasurer, International Institute of San Francisco, 1954-61; member board of directors, San Francisco Metropolitan YMCA, 1963-64; treasurer, Stanford Univ. Medical Center Auxiliary, 1983-. He was Professor of History at the Univ. of California.
