Collection Statement
The collection includes photographs and two scrapbooks. The scrapbooks contain the following: 1955-1956 - photographs, newspaper clippings, announcements and programs on Phi Beta Kappa, fundraising for a television, sports, dance, theater, Field Day, May Day, wedding and engagement announcements including a shower for Carole Wilson. Photographs depict football game action with the marching band, theater, studying, Christmas decorating, playing in the snow, a "legs contest," women students in costume and having fun outside. Fall 1959 - Newspaper clippings, photographs and memorabilia on engaement and marriage announcements, rush, Dad's Day, opera workshop, student government elections, ROTC military ball news, Phi Beta Kappa, cheerleading and May Queen nominations. Also included are loose materials from the scrapbooks including photographs, Mason Hall booklets and other assorted items.
