Historical Note
Summitville United Methodist Church was founded in 1867. The first minister is unknown but first on record was Rev. Johnson in 1890. The church was previously known as Walnut Street Methodist Episcople. There are no known mergers. The present church was erected in 1900. The church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church, closing on July 1, 2023.
