Historical Sketch
Wayside United Methodist Church was chartered on May 5, 1968. It was the first time in over sixty years that a new Methodist Church was chartered in Vermillion County, Indiana. Rev. David Bonner was the first minister. A parsonage was built in 1970 and a church building was dedicated on November 19, 1972. The Wayside United Methodist Church was formed from the merger of the former Center, Centenary and Fairview Park churches.
