Biographical Sketch
Peter Cartwright was born September 1, 1785 in Amherst County, Virginia and died September 25, 1872 in Pleasant Plains, Illinois. He served the ME Church in Indiana as an itinerant in 1804 and as a presiding elder in 1812.
